Things in this photo that no longer exist: Roadrailers, (original) Conrail Paint, NS C40-8s, jointed rail on the Griffin District. The milepost and station sign are all that is unchanged today.

A scene straight out of an Irish Tourism Brochure... except for the Conrail C40-8 with 54 Roadrailers in tow. That cow was *almost* as excited as I was.

An NS Roadrailer bursts into the sun as it rounds the curve at Lake City. The Roadrailer looks out of place on the 122 lb. jointed rail via it's new routing on the Griffin District.
